The R200 is a low cost terminal specifically developed to
work with the Data
Collection Development System; therefore, its applications are totally
customizable.
It is a robust terminal primarily designed for
industrial applications. However, its modern design allows for
its integration in almost any environment.
Its operation is completely on-line, communicating
through an industrial network with the RS485 standard or through
Ethernet 10Base-T.
Its 128x64 pixels screen enables 3 graphic modes,
one with 21x8, another with 16x8 and one more with 16x4 characters.
The supported characters are the ones of the ASCII set and the IBM®
expanded set used to draw lines and graphics. Its backlighted display
allows it to be used in low brightness environments.
It can be installed on a wall, on a support, or simply
placed on a table.
This terminal can be connected to a series of external
accessories, such as optical pens and CCD scanners
for barcode readers,
magnetic band or barcode readers and other custom made sensors and
measurement devices.
It also allows to connect to up to four pressure buttons,
normally used to count pieces in production control.
Internally, it has two solid state commutators that enable
to turn on/off external electric devices such as machines, electronic
locks or sirens.
The application possibilities for the R200 terminal are
too many to be enumerated here, but just to mention the most common ones:

Production, site or task control
